My Statement
In a world where design is more complex than every social media algorithm put together, minimalism has always been my visual clarity. Minimalism, to me, is a way to make sense of the chaotic feed of life. Much like a well thought out Instagram grid, my work extends an invitation to pause and savor the timelessness of simplicity.
Hi, I’m Kendi and I am a graphic designer who specializes in social media and brand design. My graphic design journey shows the power of clear design in a world dominated by visual noise. My work shows that a simple design can cut through the clutter and draw your eye the same way. Minimalism is where the silent parts of life become the loudest, and I'm here to make you contemplate the quiet in a world that never stops yelling.
My Backstory
Many people are lucky to know what they want to do after high school and luckily, I am one of them. My passion for design and content creation started at Eaton Rapids High School, where I signed up for every creative digital media course I could. With this passion, I did free work for the school managing 3 social media accounts. This led to, landing my first job as a social media coordinator and started my own photography business.
Since then, I have been diligently pursuing my education in creative digital media at Lansing Community College in order to enhance my knowledge and expertise. Through my studies, I have gained valuable proficiency in essential Adobe software applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Concurrently, I secured an internship opportunity with TechSmith, a prominent software company. In this role, I have demonstrated my capabilities in developing comprehensive content for a variety of organic and paid social campaigns, handling start-to-finish deliverables with meticulous attention to detail.
